Keep Calm and Spread Breast Cancer Awareness in October
Did you know that October has been recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month since 1985? The annual awareness event was first organized by the American Cancer Society along with a pharma company. Events are typically planned throughout the month to promote annual mammograms and regular breast self-examinations as well as raise funds for cancer research and prevention.
The pink awareness ribbon is a prominent symbol of Breast Cancer Awareness and is worn by those who have survived and to honor loved ones, to spread awareness, and raise funds for medical research and patient care.
